Rental Terms

This page summarizes the operating terms customers should expect. Your order is governed by the rental agreement presented for signature before delivery. If this summary conflicts with a signed agreement, the signed agreement controls.
Ownership
All rented furniture and accessories remain SettleIn property. A rental does not create a purchase option or ownership interest unless SettleIn expressly agrees in a separate writing.
Delivery and condition
Customers must provide safe, lawful access and accurate building, elevator, parking, and property-management requirements. SettleIn may document item condition and placement at delivery and pickup using written records and photographs.
Care of the property
Ordinary wear from proper residential use is expected. Customers are responsible for loss, theft, unauthorized relocation, misuse, pet or smoke damage, stains, burns, water damage, infestation, missing components, and other damage beyond ordinary wear, subject to the signed agreement and applicable law.
Billing
Recurring charges are billed according to the selected package and agreement. Applicable taxes and any clearly disclosed optional or damage-related charges may be additional. Customers must maintain a valid payment method and promptly update changed billing information.
Changes and cancellation
Package changes, early termination, extensions, swaps, and rescheduling depend on inventory, notice, and the signed agreement. Changing an advertised price does not automatically change an existing customer’s contracted price.
Pickup and return
Customers must provide reasonable access for scheduled pickup and return all items in the documented condition, ordinary wear excepted. Items may not be sold, pledged, abandoned, permanently altered, or moved to another address without written approval.
Loss, damage, and recovery
If property is not returned or is damaged beyond ordinary wear, SettleIn may charge amounts permitted by the signed agreement and law. SettleIn will use lawful collection and recovery methods and will not enter a residence without consent or legal authority.
